I will probably buy it for the CCNP just to save on time. I bought it during their last summer sale and got 25% off iirc. Would be nice if they included a short lab for it. Method 2: The older (or legacy) CLI command, Write Mem, performs an identical save of the same Cisco router’s configuration data. This CLI command is well documented in modern Cisco courseware, and is the currently recommended method.
As far as I've been able to determine using the network builder in NetSim, you can't use IP SLA as it's a feature only available in the CCNP version of NetSim. Method 1: The newer (or modern) CLI command, Copy Run Start, performs a save of the Cisco router’s configuration data. The Cisco objectives list "Troubleshoot network connectivity issues using ICMP echo - based IP SLA".

I wish they would remove or update these. Most of the labs are absolutely relevant to the exam objectives. With that said, you can see a full list of the labs included in NetSim 11 here. I did not purchase the course material so I can't speak as to it's quality.Īs for NetSim.was it useful? Yes because I didn't have to take the time to set up scenarios for things like OSPF, EIGRP, ACLs etc.
NetSim will not only help you become certified, it will also help you gain the knowledge, skills and confidence needed on the job.
